Hi, I have a Indesit WIL103 that appears to fill ok but then boils the water really red hot untill it steams from the detergent draw and then does one rinse before emptying. Whole cycle takes about 10 minutes.

None of the LEDS work at all and do not flash either. Only the door light flashes, seemingly as normal after the machine has finished.

I seem to think the fault began immediately after the machine switched itself on one day. IIRC the power was on and the red LED flashing but it just started filling up by itself without the ‘start’ button being pressed.

Should I skip it and buy another and whats the best machine to get. This one lasted 13 months to the day, last one, another Indesit, managed 27 months.

    regards, Tom.

Sounds about the right lifetime for an Indesit. 🙁

I should think the motor could be the fault in this instance, but you would need to count the rapid flashes of the LED to come up with an error code which may give a clearer idea of the fault?

I’ve just turned it on to count flashes and its actually not even filling up or emptying now.
No LEDS flash or even light up at all except briefly when the start button is pressed.
The door/power button flashes as continuously as normal and thats all that is happening now.

Seen another £200 indesit or even a Beko on the web, £200 for a minimum of one years use, very fair value really, better than living in a launderette so I’ll not grumble.

Or it would make more sense, to buy a Miele at £800.00, a ten year warranty, will like as not last 15 to 20 years. I’ll leave you to work out how much a year that will cost but it is less than half of £200.00 per annum for a vastly better performance as well. A no brainer really. 😉

£200.00 for one year, fair value, I think not. :rolls:

Too late, oh-well, I cruised the web then pushed the button and bought a £200 Beko after looking at at Warranty-direct on the web.
Looks like they offer market leading service and cover for £36 pa once the manufacturers cover expires and will observe the spirit of the contract.

    Regards Tom
