Another bearing failure with a welded tub. I’m wondering if anyone has tried fitting the earlier type tub rather than just renewing the welded one? According to Masterpart the earlier one is C00113810 whilst the welded one is C00094782. I was looking at various parts and also came up with C00066530, which was the tub for the earlier Indesit, the W103UK. I see this is shown as no longer available. I’m therefore wondering if those machines are now repaired by fitting the welded tub assembly? If so it should be possible to do the opposite i.e. use secondhand parts to convert from welded to repairable. Unfortunately I can’t find photos of any of the tubs for comparison.

Have not done it with that machine, I have removed a WF welded tub and put in a WMA tub which is now running in a customers house.

The trouble with different tub change overs is that you basically need a donar machine to fit all the parts now located in different places and adding extra wiring etc.

Good luck if you manage it. . .

I’m only going by memory for the earlier version but this machine seems to have pretty much the same layout as the original one, unlike the hotpoint which has a new motor position, front filter etc.
