My Indesit wil123s has just packed in. The machine filled with water as normal but then when it should start to spin it pumped the water out of the machine and lights began to flash.

The lights that flash are as follows:-
From the left the 2nd (stain removal), 3rd (easy iron) and 4th (extra rinse) flash slowly and the door lock flashes but a lot quicker.

I dont know how to work out the error code so can anyone help please?

F07. This indicates a problem with the heater circuit. Heater may have failed, wiring to the heater may have broken or burnt, but all to often it’s the pcb and it’s associated relays which fail.

Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

right ok, I’m a real novice. I can do the simple straightforward tasks like change brushes, unblock pipes and fit new seal/belts but the PCB is a different story.

Can you explain where it is located and what I’m looking for?
Can it be checked by a novice?
If it has gone is it worth replacing or better off buying a new washer?

    Sorry to be a noob,

    Cheers for your patience.

I took the PCB out today and tapped all the relays just in case something was stuck but there was evidence of soot residue on a resister and some sort of blue plastic circle things with. Could I just replace those components

Is the PCB the same as the Module.

    Please can someone enlighten me.

You need a test meter – measure the resistance of the heater when spilt from the circuit. 25-30 0hms is acceptable. Next, perform a continuity check on the wiring. One goes to the pressure switch, the other to the pcb/module/computer/power board.

If you have resistance and continuity, the fault is in the pcb.

    Power off first, of course.

I just changed out the PCB but the fault remains. Can you advise what else it could be?

Have you done the tests outlined above or are you throwing parts at it and hoping?
