ParticipantLucky me, I’ve got a customer with a 13 month old Widdle :rolls: (Well that’s what I call these heaps of dog dooh)… 😉
OK, it’s a WIDL102UK washer/dryer and the Module has cooked itself and the module plug (to the wash NTC) So I simply need to order a new module and a new wiring harness to include that little burnt out connector block to the module?
Looking on Partfinder for the bits I need is like looking into ‘a parallel universe’ of mindless confusion, doubt and uncertainty as to exactly what part numbers I want just to get on and do the job? 😕
And that’s just trying to figure out the ruddy module part number! 👿
Then looking up the wiring loom/harness part number (well – I’ve got more chance of finding Osama Bin Laden at a Tea Dance in Eastbourne?)
:rolls:
Can anyone solve the mystery of my widdle problem, or is it best I give up now and move on? 😆
(Where is Brian Cresswell when you need him?) ❓ ❓ ❓

Try EMW – they supply some edge connectors for their modules. You may be lucky! 8)

Thanks Steve but I need to suss the Indesit Partfinder listing for their various wiring harness part numbers for these widdle-diddle machines.
If anyone can crack the code for me on that it would be much appreciated?

this should be a 12 way connector to J8 on module ,valves and wash thermistor. Part Number from what i can suss is C00109950 for hot and cold fill machine , and C00140536 for hot fill only machines (a whopping £100 + retail on this one 😯 )

Hot fill only, that will be economic to run. 😆 £100 for a few metres of wire plus the module, seems a fair price. :rolls: Must be a mistake that. The hot & cold harness is only around £17.00 + vat.
Went to an 18 month old Indecent machine yesterday, it has already had a module changed in g/tee. Now the drum support has failed, sealed outer tub, machine scrapped. What a pile of poo these machines are, in fact that is an insult to excrement. 👿

Thanks for the info on that allround 😉
Armed with that information I phoned my customer last night to ask if it was cold fill only or hot & cold (as I couldn’t be sure and needed to be). She asked me how she could find out and I said she would need to pull the machine out to check if there are 2 hoses at the back. Then I got all the flack about she couldn’t possibly get the machine out and that I should call back and find out for myself. 😕
So (discretion being the better part of valour :rolls: ) I decided to quote her for both wiring harnesses to be sure I get it right that way no-one is unnecessarily inconvenienced over this fiddle diddle sodding widdle.

Actually won 3-1, slowly getting back to my best after the upsets of the past few months. 8)
Just been to another sub 2 year machine, Hotpoint WF220, one of the suspension legs has come adrift, customer kept on using it even though it was banging around. Outer drum has chafed away at the wiring harness just above module, rubbing the paint off the cabinet inner and shorting out the board. Advised customer to get Hotpoint in to fix under 5 year g/tee. Just rung back, “can’t be bothered, how soon can we have an ISE”?
Now I never even mentioned an ISE but she apparently has a friend who has one. 😀

Quote for Mrs Widdle-Diddle: –
Initial call to identify fault with machine……………….£55.00
To return and complete repairs (detail as follows): –
Replacement Module Circuit Board…………………….£100.00
Wiring Harness……………………………………………..£25.00*
Additional Labour…………………………………………..£30.00
GRAND TOTAL……………………………………………..£210.00 *
* Please Note: Owing to model variants it may be necessary to increase this sum by £75 to cover the additional cost of correct wiring harness. Therefore the final total could be as much as £285.00All work carried out in this instance carries our usual 12 months guarantee.
We await your instructions………but we are also at pains to point out that a brand new replacement machine is currently available for around £280 in many High Street stores.
