Got a INDESIT wixl133 with a strange intermittent fault , customer sets machine going ok on any programme but then machine intermittenly stops and door lock light goes off and the then strange arcing type sound and back into life again all within 3-5 seconds. We have replaced the door lock, checked and replaced motor carbons etc but fault persists have had pcb out and relays are clicking when fault appears .Sent pcb to EMW and returned no fault found fault still apparent does anyone have any suggestions where to look next think poss front pcb or wiring ?

Motor plug connections are very weak on these, I have cut them of and fitted old RAST type plugs to several Hotpoint machines with the same set up and door not locking faults.

This is a common fault on this model when fitted with the Arcadia board.

Fault located to dry joint(s) on on/off switch contacts on front pcb ,connections looked ok but once resoldered and machine ran over several days fault cleared
