I have one of these models that has recently started to give me agro! The following things are happening/Have happened.
The washing maching started to “stick” on fill (i.e Switch m/c on and it does not stop filling).
I removed the lid and had a closer look nothing untoward, plugged back in and it semed fine for a few weeks, it then did this again. I took the lid off and tapped the program dial/controller, plugged back in same thing happened about 1 month later.
I have recently bought a new controller dial and fitted it (It is the right one and the connectors are all sound and ok). The machine will now only fill when started. I have poked around the waste pipe and adjusted its hieght (to stop any siphoning activity). There is a vacuum/pressure switch on the RHS of the frame is there a continety test that can be used to check this items operation.
Where do I start to look next or is there any tests that I can do?
I am a service engineer (though this is my 1st washing machine!) so I have the necessary tools/test equipment if you want to test anything.
Many Thanks
Michael
Given that you have described tha fault as coming and going, I’d suggest keeping it simple – follow the air hose down from the pressure switch, to the pressure chamber. Remove this and thoroughly clean it out, as well as the hose it joins to.
😀
Ive done that and removed what looks like a small swamp! blurgh Ran it up and hey presto it now lives!
Spose over that last 7 years of ownership I should have done the odd service wash! :bang: That’ll learn me – Anyone want to buy a new timer for a WG1234tg?
MANY THANKS FOR THAT PENGUIN45!
Michael
