Indesit WM12X

Hi,

I have an insurance with Indesit for this machine. The bearings have gone on it so the Engineer says. Already I have waited 2 weeks for the parts, the service centre says the parts are out of stock at the moment. Surely such an important part of a washing machine would be available? The machine is already nearly 7 years old I am wondering if they are in fact still made for this machine. On Indesits own pages this model isn’t mentioned just the Indesit WM12XUK. Is this the same model? I would be grateful for your comments.

Hi: Yes the bearings for your machine are still made, unfortunately the long wait for parts / service is all too common with manufacturers nowadays especially Hotpoint / Indesit.

Bearings are standard 6204, 6205, & 6206 bearings, but the seal will depend on the size of the shaft.. There are 2 sizes 20mm and 26mm.

I would imagine that they are waiting for the seal and yours is proberbly a 20mm as the 26mm are common stock seals

More than likely he ordered the whole drum which is now obsolete.
