Indesit WM12x Buttons stuck

Hi all, I just discovered these forums and would appreciate some help!

So this Washing machine has the program selector dial, an on/off switch and 3 further switches: (1)an easy iron option (2) a low spin option and (3) a long soak option. Somehow all three switches are now stuck in the depressed position (not sure how else to put it!) and I have no idea how to turn them off, or un-depress them as it were. Does anyone know how you’d do this?

Stuck buttons usually caused by them being pressed in to hard or by having something such as tea, coffee or similar spilt over them.

They are known to be very weak, plasticky machines. If you remove the mains plug it might be possible to free them off from inside or even get them free by spraying some WD 40 around the buttons.

Thanks iadom, I’ll give the WD40 a go before I take the top off of the machine (mains off ofcourse).
