Indesit WM12X Door seal clamp

The door seal on this machine has a wire & hook fixing, which from my last time of trying to fit it back was not easy to say the least.
Would anybody know if you can fit the spring type part no. C00092155

Thanks for the quick reply there are two door seals listed which did you use?
C00093345 standard seal with spring clamp
C00064545 wire hook version seal (I guess this is what is on there)
Will either of them fit this machine?

TBH the last one I did was on a built in Hotpoint with the same clamp, used the correct seal and if my memory is correct I used a Zanussi spring clamp, a little bit tighter than the Indesit one.

I have heard of people using a plastic cable tie to hold the two ends of the wire clamp close together giving you two hands to try and get the clamp back on,still a typically stupid piece of Indesit design. :rolls:

I have a long nose/ long handle pair of pliers which I’ve bent over the ends of the nose 90 deg. Bit of a fiddle but it’s fairly straight forward bringing the ends together. But yep, what a loopy design it is.

The 90deg long nose pliers is what I ended up using, but I had to go back after I borrowed them from a college still not very easy. I will give the spring clamp a try.

There is a trick on these , put a small cable tie though the holes and pull it tight this holds it in place enough for you to clamp it up with pointed pliers
