HELLLPPPPP indesit wm12xuk s/n 4033 18287 802723 10030 (if this any help)
ok washer lets only so much cold water in then stops, does not get any water to detergent tray 😥 also gets no cold water on rinse cycles
works fine if i manually fill with water (i dont mean filled full up lol)
is this a switchy/valvey prob or something else
any help would be mucho appreciated 😆tony

Ok, I’ll take a punt here – cold water valve most likely candidate. Solenoid failed (should bring up an error code), crushed/nipped/trapped fill hose (should bring up and error code), water level control not functioning correctly (most problems bring up an error code), bonkers computer board (will do whatever it wants – may not bring up an error code).
You will realise that there are too many variables here for a easy diagnosis…….. Do the obvious things first – you are sure the water is turned on? The little red and blue tabs can be quite deceptive. Ease the machine forward in case the hoses are trapped. If you want to get a bit more advanced, the solenoid coils should give a reading in Kohms on your test meter when split from the circuit.
These are technically complex machines and even we struggle with them sometimes. If you’re not sure how to proceed safely, click the link below for a UKW engineer in your area. If you’re going to investigate, ensure that the power id off at all times.

water intake pipes are ok water level seems ok as when filled manually by jug lol machine works ok
as for error codes red light flashes normaly before and when accepting programme (unless im reading it wrong lol) me thinks cold water valve proberly the fav will test first
