    My Indesit c139 Fridge freezer has started to trip electrics. Firstly 2 months ago but gradually getting more frequent (4 times this week) Resets tripswitch with no problem and works well …..anyone any ideas?????

    well, its more than likely the compressor tbh

    is it a frost free
    ?

    not frost free, but plugged back in 2 hours ago, nice and cold and quiet, but added a portable rcd with a test current of 10mA AC. Will wait to see if it trips. I dont think it is the compressor as I have looked at other forums and they offer the point that it is earth leakage???

    ok, go back and ask them that since its not frost free, exactly which part of the appliance could possibly leak to earth?

    could ONLY be stat r compressor

    Changed fuse in plug just to be on safe side. possibly stat, but not sure. Had fridge freezer on since monday morning and no probs, or odd noises. Clicks in and out quietly……..not a technical person so not too what it is.
