ParticipantAre these supposed to do this?, i have seen so many of these later machines do this while i’ve been testing them 😕
I have even had a WD12 spinning during the drying cycle for a short time before returning to normal.
Any suggestions?Regards

Wool wash goes fast at the beginning after fill.

This ‘speed wash’ has been used for years on some machines. I believe Indesit were given an award for their effort. Sad really when you think that the old Hoover, Softwave,New wave machines did this many years before.
Spin in the drying cycle is also a normal part of the programme on those machines. If you change a hybrid control unit on the last of the WM based Hotpoint washer dryers the new unit comes with instructions to advise the customer of the spin on tumble dry action.
Throws you a little when you see it for the first time though. 😀

Cripes!
at least refitting the belt is easier than changing the module 😀
Thanks

If the fault was just that the belt came off it’s best to change it as it will surely happen again as it’s one of those s-t-r-e-t-c-h belts. 😉

Yes, I’m amazed it doesn’t overload the motors, spinning fast with water in. I suppose old Hotpoints always used to do it at the start of the spin though, before they had time to drain much. 😕

To be honest, its hardly a spin, the ‘surge’ wash on my WMA63 is 90 rpm.

On the Indesit/Ariston versions, it doesn’t do it until after the heat sequence is finished -useful if checking temperature problems.
