ParticipantHi my indisit washer is on its way out bearings noisey after 2 years and it’s a sealed unit so on the look out for a new one. But I don’t want another indisit or hotpoint as they seem to be a load of rubbish.
I have a budget of around £400 it has to have a fairly big drum eg 7kg/8kg and I would prefer if bearings can be replaced
I’ve being recommended a Bosch / Siemens and I would also like a good warranty 5years
I’ve also looked at Samsung/lg
Can anyone recommend a good washerThanks

Don’s your man for this one but, you’re asking a lot for £400 to be honest.
Hotpoint/Indesit etc, all sealed tanks.
Beko, all sealed tanks.
Electrolux Group, mostly all sealed tanks.
Bosch, either sealed or as good as.
Samsung, rubbish.
For what you’re after start at LG (although it pains me to say it) and go up from there and, if you’ve taken the bearings out in that time and need a large capacity I’m guessing family use, probably a fair bit meaning that most you’ll burn through in a few years if that unless you really some money invest in it.
Or you could get Indesit to replace the tank in it for their fixed fee and likely get a year’s cover as well.

Thanks for reply I know £400 is a big ask and yes it’s for a busy family and when my wife is off its on 4 times a day
I have seen a good deal on a LG on very LG F14A7FDSA if I open a very account get another 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} off which brings it close to my budget and 5 years warranty and 10 years on motor
I know lg are new on the block but all the reviews seem goodDecember 10, 2015 at 8:44 am #433576kwatt

With that level of use you really need something pretty robust or, you’re gonna burn through a machine every 18 months to two years most probably.
That means, to be blunt, you’re going to have to spend a bit on it or, accept the above and pay another way.

Hi
Not a lot left after you take out the big players. Your LG deal is a good deal especially with the five year warranty.
There is a Miele here if you can stretch a little which will be more durable when washing four loads some days. Good quality machines which are built to last but Miele service is restricted and the parts can be more costly than the average.

thanks for all your help looks like the LG deal is now out of stock should off kept mouth shut 😆
How come the Miele has only a 2 year warranty in that link ?
I like the siemens aswell which have 5 years warranty which is just in my budget
I dont know if its best to wait to see what deals happen in January or buy nowDecember 10, 2015 at 5:37 pm #433579Martin

Go for the Siemens as when it breaks you can get it fixed OK whereas LG service is c r a p in most areas of the U.K…. Just saying 😉

Thanks for all your help I’ve decided to go for the miele one but I’m getting it locally as they will match the price and if anything goes wrong which it shouldn’t they are only a few miles away as they fix washers too
Just one last question I assume the Miele bearings can be replaced separately
