    Hi everyone..
I just read in another post that there can be problems fitting an induction hob above a built under oven due to ventilation issues..

Is there a way around this?
I am planning to do this during my kitchen refit and really want an induction hob, but there is simply nowhere else to site the oven or the hob.

The only alternative is to mount the oven several inches lower than the hob, fit a divider shelf between the two that seals to the wall, and a fit a ventilation grill at the front between them…even that might be a little restrictive.

In other words there is no easy practical way really 😕

This applies to induction hobs only as they have ventilation fans in the base which require a fresh air supply and the electronics are sensitive to heat and cooking vapours.

Ceramic hobs are almost universally popular these days with or without halogen rings. Have a good search around this site, there’s loads of useful info on the pros and cons to help you make your decision.

I know that Whirlpool induction hobs can be fitted above Whirlpool ovens as long as there is a 20mm gap between the bottom of the hob and top of the oven.
