Hi all. I have this induction hob – https://www.amazon.co.uk/Buffalo-Induction-100X330X430mm-Stainless-Cooktop/dp/B007TKFC84 and the trouble I’m having is that it completely cuts out after a couple of minutes, then restarts itself with no error message. Its just as if it was disconnected from the mains then restarted. It heats fine when it is powered on, but I can’t figure out why it keeps stopping. I cleaned the fan and also used a hairdryer on cold setting to help the fan out but I still have the problem. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi: Is this plugged into a normal socket ?. If so then the first thing to check would be the plug for any signs of loose connections or overheating, also try plugging into a different socket. They’d be the simplest user checks, unfortunately with an induction hob there’s not really anything user serviceable inside I’m afraid.

    Thanks for the reply.
I checked the plug and thats fine. I also tried 3 different sockets and still the same results. I think it could be goosed 🙁

Unfortunately I tend to agree with you, it would suggest that you have a controller fault inside. You may find a local Electronics shop to look at it for you but it’s likely to be costly. Maybe time to treat yourself to a new one .

Local shop quoted almost the same price for repair as for a brand new unit. Might get some black friday discount with a bit of luck. Thanks again though 🙂
