Could you please advise me as to what features are important when buying an induction hob, and whether any particular models are better than others and which should be avoided like the plague? All opinions gratefully received. Thanks.
Induction hobs do vary, a good place to start would be the Neff site to see which features you would like and style ie framed or frameless, touch control or removable magnetic. As far as brands are concerned I would stick with a brand I knew rather than purchasing purely on price.
Thanks for your reply – I know I want touch control and frameless, but I’m not sure about the need for other features such as ‘fast heat’, boosters, LED display, memory, timers etc. Also, some quote kW eg 1.1kW,2.4kW or 2.8kw – I understand that the higher the power, the quicker the heating but don’t know how much is too little or too much for normal requirements.

Induction hobs are very nice, until they need to be repaired I have just discovered. Trouble-shooting the electronics is non-trivial and replacement PCBs, etc., aren’t always available. On the plus side, my new £466 AEG 68002KFN is half the price of my failed seven years old 68000KFN.
