I have a fault with my Hoover Tv630 Reverse Tumble dryer. It started making an Awful Screeching sound (Metal on Metal) bout a month ago, and upon investigation it seems the Drum bearing have failed. It is really difficult to get to the back of the drum and have a good look, and as my knowledge is limited i am unsure of taking the drum out to have a look. I have seen the Bearing Kit in your shop http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tumble+D … aring.html and understand there is a Spindle type bar that is Riveted to the back of the drum and a Nylon type bracket that this slots into, does the Bearing kit contain all the parts to replace this fault? and is it then easy to take the drum out to replace?
I am weighing up the pros and cons as to whether this will sort the problem ( I understand this is a bad design flaw on hoovers part, and is quite common with this model) or whether to cut my losses and buy a new Dryer? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
