Integrated Diplomat ADP 8242 problems.

Hello,

Like many others, I inherited this integrated machine with my house about a year ago.

I’ve had problems on and off in that time. And have been very grateful to this forum for help.

After a wash, the light comes back on flashing (as it should – on the same program that’s just run). But then, after a couple of seconds it starts constantly beeping and won’t let me change the programme.

This means after most washes I have to try and reset using the press button four times quickly procedure (as detailed often in these forums).

However, when I do this it’s not straightforward. Lights 1 and 5 flash and start beeping. Then, when I turn it off (leave for 15secs) and turn on again, light 1 is constantly on but also constantly beeping. I have to then shut the door and run it through a short programme. This seems to eventually reset and allow me to choose and run a prog normally.

Now though, I have an additional problem. When I removed the plinth I noticed it’s also dripping underneath during a wash.

I removed the metal plate at the bottom/front of the machine. And there was a small amount of water in there, which I’ve mopped up (the water seemed to be more on the left hand side).

I’m currently using a container to catch the water. But obviously this can’t continue forever.

Can anyone please help?
