Integrated Dishwasher (60cm) Buying Advice

Hi,

Great website & forum. Hope you can help with my query.

My current (Whirlpool) integrated dishwasher has died a horrible death 🙁 so I’m on the look out for a new replacement before xmas! I want something of quality but don’t really want to spend Miele prices.

I’m looking for a reliable, quiet machine that gives good results (isn’t everyone!!)

My thoughts are as so…

Bosch SGV59T03 @ £501
Bosch SHV55M03 @ £423
Bosch SGV46M43GB @ £378

My questions are…

1. Are there any real Quality / Reliability differences between the above models?
2. Where are they made? Any in Germany?
3. Which of the above offers the best value for money?
4. Should I be looking at any other models / makes – if so, which?

Your help and advice would be much appreciated!

Was I talking to you on the phone earlier? Exploding Whirlpool……..?

Of the three you’ve listed, the middle one is a good option and has enough programmes for most purposes. Origins – impossible to be sure these days.

With regards to the range listsed – do they actually get better in terms of quality / reliability as you go up the list or do they simply provide more bells ‘n’ whistles?

The actual functional construction across the range is generally similar. There are variations in control systems to give more or less functions. The only real difference is the top of the range machine have things like turbidity sensors and alternator valves to increase water and energy efficiency. These improve things slightly, but add complexity…….
