KeymasterCan I ask what you guys do with integrated FF’s.
My engineers are 5foot 8inches at best and not built like Charles Atlas and therefore I won’t let them fit a FF on their own.
So, I have connect telling me that no other service partner refuses to do these jobs on their own, they don’t pay anyone two jobs for another engineer to assist, and when I refuse to install they take the call from me and thats the end of it.
However in the contract with CDSL it states that “installs” will be negigiated seperately.
So, how do you get around this problem with CDSL?
I am also asked to remove the old appliance (dish, wash and cooling) where they are asking me to install a replacement. I always refuse. Do you get asked and what do you do?
Again because I won’t remove the old appliance the call is taken off me, as though that hurts me somehow. The CDSL (lady) operators get in a real strop over this and are quite nasty on the phone, usually singling us out of the who;e network for being the only problem agent.

If I had a penny for every time I have been told ” You are the only agent who does that ” I would be be a richer man. 😆
Whirlpool pay for 2 man installs on all built in fridge/freezers, double ovens, cooker hoods and washer dryers and also pick up the old appliance.
Are you expected to dispose of the old appliance?
Also if you are their first tier agent for the area and the job is taken from you I assume it must go to the second tier agent, are most of them not one man bands?
Methinks the fisher of men is taking the piss 😈

I insist on & get paid for a second man, if it is required. We will assess the call 1st as last time they offered to send Martin Sheppard. I told them it would be cheaper to give us another £30, i.e. book sundries 3 times or something.
We always leave the old product behind. Last time we told the customer that someone from Brandt would probably be along later.
You would think I was trying to piss them about on Brandt, Who Me!!

ParticipantUsually get the storeman to run out ( cheaper than a tech) , but we have not done any exchanges for CDSL. But I would not fetch an old product back to site ! Why should you! and who’s paying for disposal !

We’ve now book a call on the understanding that the husband has to give us a lift.
We’ll see.
