ParticipantHi All
Have done the searches here first and taken note of what I found … I think…
Fitting out our new kitchen with new integrated appliances (except the microwave as per reccomendations here!).
First thing I am looking for is a tall (177) integrated freezer. found the AEG AG918504I – then using the “name game” discovered that the identical product as the Electrolux EUF23800 is on average £150 less at around £540.
The only other item I have been able to discover is the Miele FN9752i – which under it’s original mnrf name as the Liebherr IGN 2566 (guess which site told me that then?!) again is £150 less but still £1,200 (or £2,500 from other suppliers!)
So 3 questions to the learned panel if I may
– Comments +/- on the EUF23800
– any other manufacturer recommendations (Google search is hampered by “comparison site” clutter of fridge freezers!)
– is the Liebherr really twice as good as the Electrolux and would I be stuck with the horrendously expensive Miele service/parts.Thanks for any advice you can give!

Hi Paul,
If you can afford it, buy the Liebherr, it is far and away superior. Make sure it’s installed correctly and it’ll last for many, many years.
Liebherr don’t tend to do really expensive parts, I would say that in relation to the cost of the appliance, they’re usually about right and sometimes seem a bit cheap.
Buy the same thing with a Miele badge on it and parts prices will bring tears to your eyes. 😉
Miele service and spares are totally and utterly separate to Liebherr’s service and support.
As a mid-range alternative, the Lux is probably one of the better ones available as most of the other machines in that area are just badged up cheapo machines IME with inflated prices.

Thanks for your help kwatt
Thats good news about the service on the Liebherr – incedentally why cant everyone’s web site be so simple ? They are a massive diverse group but within 15 seconds I was looking at all the info on that freezer!
Having said that we have more of a mid-range sort of budget so if the Electrolux is OK will probably go with that.
