ParticipantHello..
I want to replace the integrated microwave that was already in the kitchen when I moved into my flat. I’ve got two problems:
1. It doesn’t have any visible make names or model numbers on the front or inside, so I have no idea what size replacement to look for.
2. I also don’t know how to remove it from where it currently sits so I can then install the new one. Because I don’t know the make/model, I can’t look for specific instructions. This is the microwave in situ: http://s24.postimg.org/m7gsulmd1/20140809_104247.jpg
and this is a close up of its control panel: http://s27.postimg.org/dm2c6o5er/20140809_104132.jpg
Can anyone identify it, or make any suggestions as to how it can be removed?
thanks in advance.August 9, 2014 at 3:05 pm #417694Martin

The surround trim should just be clipped in place and a sharp tug either side on it to release. Behind the trim the microwave will be screw fixed into the kitchen furniture. Easy to removed though you will find it heavy for such a small item so get someone to lend a hand. 😉

I was wondering whether it would just pop off, I wasn’t sure if just pulling would break something – it doesn’t seem to want to come off. :-/ you do mean the metal vent thing around the outside?

You could try opening the oven door put your hand on the roof and lift up while pushing back. if the oven moves back have a look on the inside edge you may well find some screws holding the front fascia in place. The only other way i have found them fitted on some of the zannussi type microwaves is two screws on the very top and bottom edge. Hope this helps Regards Neil
