Firstly, thank you so much for this website! What a wealth of valuable information it has and I have really enjoyed reading through everything from the buying guides to the last year or so worth of comments on the buying forum 😀
I’m replacing a whole kitchen in a property (I’m removing some very vintage appliances that seem to still be working but just not right for my young family). I’ve collected loads of pointers for all the white goods from these pages but I’m still a bit stuck on where to start looking for the oven.
The only real restrictions I have is it needs to fit in a standard 600mm tower unit and be electric (the house is being rewired so correct cabling can be provided). Initially I was looking for a double oven as this is what I’ve always had previously and works for me. But I think I could install two single ovens in the same unit. The oven will be used likely every day, sometimes more than once. I need two oven cavities so I can cook various items at the same time with different temperatures and I am a keen baker so temperature consistency is important. I’m not looking for any fancy features other than a plain old audio timer. Budget is not necessarily limited but I’d need to know I was getting something very special for my money so I think I’d be looking around £2K.
So with that in mind I am looking for some guidance on which brands to look at. On a basic Google search all I get is the same old same old brands and retailers. Are there any niche brands that I can look at? I’m limited with local suppliers as I’m Scottish Highlands but I will be checking the few indies that are in Inverness (both Euronics I believe). Thanks for reading!
