integrated recommendations please

Hello, after 6 years of daily use my old indesit wm12x washing machine has started to do the death rattle so I am looking to buy a replacement.

I know it was a cheapo when I got it and I didn’t expect it to last this long, was I just lucky or are indesit a good make?

Can anyone give me any advice on a good reliable long lasting integrated machine please and tell me roughly how much I should spend.

We are a family of 4 so 2 washes a day is about average.

The old washer failed with. a collapsed bearing and a burning smell….
So I decided to go with the cheap option and bought an Indesit IWME147_WH for £299.

I hope it last as long as my last indesit.

In answer to the final sentence, probably not.

Cheap and good rarely go together in the same sentence when it comes to appliances in general and never, ever when it comes to integrated ones.

Indesit are not the company they once were and sadly not a brand that I can recommend any more with confidence.

Instead I would have said the Gorenje WI73110 for entry level, Zanussi ZWI71201WA midrange and the Bosch WIS24140 for the top end.
