Participanthi guys. the pitch of the hinges. to fit wooden door on .its a real pain that these are not all same .. i know if buy same make they are meant to line up .. but the new bosch dont line up with the old bosch neff ,, but i noticed the bekos line up great .. and the indesits line up great with the old diplomat whirlpool machines ..i have a electrolux one i need to do .. but zanussi lux ones very expensive .. anyone know a cheaper model that will line up well with hinges .. also think be good, to put list of ones which makes line up well with others , ta

Moderatoreven if they line up with the distance between hinge centres they may be vertically in a different position
agree m8 its a complete mine field
these days i say i cant promise to fit the outer door and they may need to get a joiner or kitchen fitter to sort it

ModeratorThere is a jig available on ebay its called kreg hinge cutter easy to use plus ebay sell the plugs to go in old holes

Moderatorthats good would make things a lot easier
did one years ago on a bench drill. was really scared i would drill too deep and ruin a kitchen door

ParticipantYou need a quality Forster bit, I use Fisch. They ain’t cheap, but boy are they sharp and allow you to cut even holes overlapping if you’re careful.

ParticipantThink im being too soddin nice to my customers then…i take door home if overlapping is involved, fill the hole with a peice i cut out of a old door i use, gorilla glue and leave overnight, go back measure drill fit… viola! Done it too many times

ParticipantNever understand why the Appliance Manufacturers and Kichen Manufacturers have not Standardisd the fitting of doors on intergrated products.. even when you fit like for like there is a difference We always advise our customers if they buy intergrated the might be a problem with out doors so we have a Kitchen Fitting Company that cuts door from our engineers measuerements, of course this incures an extra charge

Thats exactly what i do !! I think youre right, being too nice. That said, people do remember you for going the extra mile.
