My AEG washer dryer has died so I am looking to replace it.
The original AEG lavamat machine had a filter access point that was above the kitchen kickplate.
So you could easily empty/clean the filter. When you pulled out the filter it was banana shaped and all the gunk collected at the bottom.

Looking at replacement models they all have the filter lower down on the machine so it would be behind the kickplate.
So to get access you need to either remove the kickplate or drill a hole for access….
Am I missing something here ?
Seems like a basic issue with the design of integrated washer dryers…

    cheers

Larger wash loads demanded by customers means that some compromises have to be made, this is one such.
