It’s only 3 years old, cost £429, and for use by 2 people. During its cycle the machine has started to make a loud banging noise that rattles the machine, but not all the way through even when it goes to do the final spins it doesn’t! There are no error messages but the time given for the cycle goes on longer ie at 1min to finish took at least 10mins. A wash that said 55mins took over 2 hours. I did do a heavy wash of towels with 2 bath mats previous to this, that came out soaking, so could the machine have become unbalanced and can it be fixed? I have since tried a lighter wash but the same sort of thing happened, although the water had spun out of it this time. Do I try again, can it balance itself again? I have cleaned the filter. Any advise most welcome, thanks.?
Phoned Zanussi and would have to buy a service deal underwritten by Domestic and General that costs £14.49 per month for a year £173.88, or a 1 off call out £117.99! Tried the numbers on this website first but for my London area they are not up to date. TRe: Integrated Zanussi ZWI 71201 WA – Banging noise!
The honest truth is that it could be associated with all manner of things. Being integrated the fixings may be an issue? The sealed drum could have failed? Suspension springs? Dampers? It’s hard to put a finger on it really. 😕
Calling out someone in London can be an expensive punt too so I’m afraid to say. 😯
