ParticipantHi Everyone!
Just bought a Smeg DUCO4SS (by mistake, I actually wanted the DUCO8CSS!)
Anyway, I was wondering if it was possible to change the knobs on the DUCO4SS

to the ones off the DUCO8CSS

so they will match the hob I bought at the same time?
Thanks for any help!
Dave

I just happen to have a set of four of the 2nd ones shown in a box. 😉
On the ones that are on the oven, are the flat sections all in the same place? If so can you get me a photo of that bit showing me that flat relative to teh indicating position?
Do that and I can check tomorrow for you if you like.

Hi K!
Co-incidence eh! 😀
I don’t know whether there are flats or what position they are in!
The ovens still in the box while I decide whether I should send it back or not?
Do they just pull off if i give it a try?

Hi K
Managed to have a look take one of the knobs of the cooker at last. They are like a half moon shape in section, couldnt take a picture though.
That enough info to let you know if the others would fit?
Cheers

Surely all you need to do is pull the knobs off the hob and push onto the oven???….if they fit then you have answered your own question 😉

Lol True!
The ones on the hob don’t seem to come off so easily though, and I don’t think I’d be able to explain that the hob is faulty cos I pulled the knob off to the place that sold it to me! 😀

My advice is go for it!….we’ve all had to replace switches from time to time but i’ve never managed to mechanically damege one by pulling the knob off…except when the switch was already broken in the first place! -
