IS there any cons to getting a intergrated washing machine, rather than the normal free standing models?

By installing an integrated machine you have a matching cupboard door fitted to the front and the kick plinth along the bottom, which I must say does give a nice clean look in a run of units. However the “look” does come at a price. By spending the same budget on a freestanding unit you will have a better quality machine.

    HTH 🙂

    Is this a CON?

On having to purchase a new washing machine a couple of years back – it struck me how much more expensive the ‘fitted’ machines are.

They should be cheaper – as they have no lid, and no nice bottom strip.

That’s the only difference I can see.

Are we getting ripped off ?

    Nope.

They are low volume and need special cabinets and therefore they cost more.
