Invasion of Kamikaze slugs

this is 2 in a 2 days

first was a hotpoint washer with a 3 phase board

now a hotpoint tumble dryer

They seem to like Hotpoint for some reason. Ive had about 3 over the last year on the Hotpoint dishwasher with the module at the front. I also had a Samsung oven last week with a slug stuck on the power board. Lovely smell, fried slug….

Might be something to do with putting the control board in the bottom right hand corner. Number of times seen a failed board in a damp kitchen or cellar. Would you store your laptop in such a location.

well to end this on a happy note. Both boards survived

clean off dead slug, replace safety resistor and power chips

now both running
