Please can anybody tell me what the difference is between inverter magnetrons Panasonic 2M261-M32 and Panasonic 2M263-M42 please? I have a Bosch Integrated HBC84E653B/03 FD9006 in for repair. It has the 2M263-M42 fitted to it which is down to earth. I have the 2M261-M32 magnetron in stock :-/
    Thanks in advance.
    Rob.

I’ve no idea but got this via Googling……

The 2M236-M42 is the inline version of the 2M236, ie the airflow is in the same direction as the mounting brackets. The 2M236-M1 and the 2M236-M1G are the offline versions of this magnetron and are also available from us. The 2M261-M32 is a version fitted to earlier inverter models and is also available. Please get in touch.

Yeah, I got that too as I had a look round prior to posting on here. Both mags are inverter mags so im quite tempted to fit it and test it with a large bowl of water for 10 mins. And for RF leakage of course.

how did the fitting of the Mag go? Is it still working okay? I have the same situation with the 2M261 M32 from a 900watt machine, going to earth and the 2M236M42 on stock.I tried it for ten min. it heated okay.
