Hi everyone just wondering how everybody invoices as i use a duplicate habdwritten invoice but i am wanting to use the computer to do them is there any specific product out there>

When i’m on the job, if the customer needs an invoice as you I use a duplicate hand written invoice. If I need to to send one I just a word doc with a letter head with an individual incoe number. There is probably some all signing and dancing software to do it, but this works for me

cheers for reply i was thinking about doing that but if there was something which would do next invoice number automatically that would be helpful.

I have been using easy invoicing for about 2 years now, i use a Brother MW260 printer with bluetooth, which reduces A4 down to A6, the oly problem i had was originaly the type was to small so i emailed eay invoicing who sent me a modified programe for £20,everyboy are fairly impressed with it, it aslo helps with book keeping, when i need to send full size invoices i connect to my wirelees printer in the house, this works well for me.

Dont you normally give an invoice to every customer you do a repair for? If not what do they have as a form of guarantee?

For hand written I use triplicate, one for the customer, one for my desk/files, one stays in the book so I can always find it if I lost the filed one. I’ve learnt the hard way
Trying to get into a PC based system, already lug around a laptop, just need to find a battery powered printer I guess.
All my regular customers get a PDF invoice the next day so I’ve got the template, just don;t like firing up the laptop on every job so I probably wouldn’t follow through with typing them out and printing them onsite anyway.
OTOH, my invoice books cost me $400 for 500 invoices. They are a4 sized, but I need them that size with all the stuff I need to include to make manufacturers happy.I have separate address to bill addresses, section for work order numbers (they are for real estate agents)
I have make, model, serial number section, as well as purchase details (they are for the warranty jobs)
so my invoice (printed for hand written ones in triplicate) look like this.
it’s printed off a pdf version of the .doc I use to type them out for printing/email billing etc.

Does it matter? They’re all worth the same these days 😆
AU$ FWIW. You should see the credit card fees I pay… less than $1 per job for the invoice in triplicate is nothing compared to other costs like phone and fuel.Re: Invoicing
G’day.
I’m mainly in a/c install and repair, but do samsung and sharp refrigerators too (sharp subcontract repair and warranty right now, samsung just a few out of warranty ones because I did warranty for them 3 years ago so know them pretty well).
Refrigerators have a 2yr warranty here (and a/cs 5yr), so plenty of repair work for warranty, and even out of warranty people don’t want to throw away a $2k fridge.
Don’t know nuttin ’bout nuttin else, especially washers. Thinking about getting an LG one.
