KeymasterHi All,
Looking at buying a new washing machine. The wife is demanding a larger load than ‘normal’ mashing machines and after a bit of searching I found the Bosche WBB24759 at £850.
It seems quite a lot of money to me but I have not seen much else. Another benefit is its ability to do a half load (i.e normal load for normal washing machines) in 35 minutes.
From reading the forum it seems people are fairly happy with Bosche.
Is this a reasonable buy ?
Rather cheekily – any recomendations for a tumble dryer ?
Thanks in advance
Chris

Very nice machine Chris!
Controls on the top though, so can’t be placed under a worktop 🙁
Mid- price ranged Bosch machines are great (including their range of Tumble driers)

Good build quality and performance too. comes with a two year guarantee as well. A good buy in my opinion.

Thanks guys – sorry my first post was as guest – me being incompitant.
I had spotted the controls on top and was wondering if you were still able to put a drier on top.
Maybe a trip to a showroom will make it all clear.
Thanks again

Just Keep in mind that this machine has not been out long enough for anyone here, or anywhere really, to know how good, reliable or long lasting it will be. Ask us again 18 months or so. Interestingly, no part numbers are available for the drum and bearings other than a complete unit at a reasonable £188 inc vat.
Also, Hotpoint are selling an almost identical model.August 14, 2005 at 4:19 pm #144303BSH-MAN

It’s 700mm wide as well, so it ain’t going in the standard width gap.

Your` wife did say she wanted a machine with a larger load capacity.
It`s a superb machine I looked at one at the weekend and I was impressed with what I saw  .
Hope it works well for you.
