I have an E2 fault on a Bosch fridger freezer – the fridge has stopped working.. Having read through threads on these pages (thanks to all who contributed) I now know which part I need (and the cost!) but what I can’t find is how easy the part is to fit. My model is the kgu3201/gb/01 – can anyone tell me if this is a job for a reasonably competent diy’er? TKE makes it sound easy, but I just need to know a little more before I cough up £120 quid!

    many thanks in advance,

    jr

In theory, this is a screwdriver job and a bit of patience to remove the panel. However…….. If the board removed shows any signs of physical damage – burnt components, PCB tracks and the like, you must investigate the cause and correct it, otherwise your new (and VERY expensive) board will either go bang on switch on, or you’ll being doing the job again in a few months time.

Bear in mind that as a member of the public, Bosch absolutely will not stand any guarantee on this component, so get it right!

We can’t tell you exactly how to do it, but as I said at the top, screwdriver and a bit of patience.

    Power off, of course.
