One of the door trays in my fridge has broken. I reckon I could fix it using fibreglass mat and resin. I went to Halfords but on the packaging for the resin used in the process it says it should not be used in fridges as well as other food related places.

So maybe its not such a good idea or does anybody know if there is a food safe version of resin I could use.

    Thanks

Have you compared it to the cost of a new shelf.
Repairs are seldom succesful long term IMO.

Part of the problem is that the lugs on the door which the tray slots into have broken off. Well one side anyway. So I’m looking to not only fix up some cracks in the tray but also fix it to the door as well.

The missus keeps putting far too much heavy stuff in the door tray.
