Is it fixable?

Hi new to this forum glad its here hope someone can help i have a Bosch exxcel fridge freezer but it doesnt have a model number ANYWHERE. It has power but does not cool, compressor was very hot, i turned off and defrosted in place.

Plugged back in, compressor pulses twice then nothing temp light on indication board flashes to indicate current temperate but all lights dim as the compressor pulses.

Its it fixable and worth calling someone out or has the he compressor had it. No signs of gas leak possibly the relay? And where do you get these I guess trade parts from?

Model number usually located having first removed the salad drawer. (Rating plate on side of the cabinet liner) 😉

Hi thanks for the reply there is nothing there, I did a search to see if there was anything I could do to id it but no numbers other than the compressor no and the part on the relay?

I can honestly say that there isnt a part number on this fridge freezer I’ve had it completely empty search it all and there is nothing just on the top bosch exxel Maxx… the only place I haven’t checked is underneath?

Also to add that after it being off for 12 hrs I turned it on and it now works?? Im sure that something stoppped it but what…. and it is more than likely to do it again!

It can’t be a Bosch I’m thinking. The reason I say that is that first you say it is a Bosch Exxcel then it’s an Exxcel Maxx. Bosch market these as a completely separate series so it’s either one or the other……all very odd. 🙁

I didnt mention the Maxx because I thought it was nothing about the model? But the words Bosch exxcel Maxx freedom performance are written on the top next to the indicators and the three buttons
