The fridge temp range is about -2 to 11 centegrade. (middle of middle shelf)
Once the compressor cuts out at about -2 it takes forever for the cooling to start again and the fridge inside temp usually gets to 10 or 11 degrees inside the fridge.
The compressor then stays on again until -1 or -2.
No frosting problem in fridge or ice box.
Fridge is a Smeg S28STRP (bought 2nd hand a few days ago). I know these are supposed to be poor but surely not this bad, (large fridge with small ice box inside at the top).
I am guessing it’s the stat but I know fridges can be complicated.
Door sills are good, light goes on and off as it should. Room temp is 18-23.
If it is the thermostat, which one do I buy and is it as simple as pulling the old pipe out and pushing the new one in?
