yes it’s a pig.
what i do once i’ve got the seal on the tub i wedge the spring in place at the bottom with my socket set extention bar and kind of hold it with my leg while chasing the spring round and round the seal. i think quickest i’ve done it 15 mins. a mate of mine holds the spring gently with long nose mole grips.September 15, 2009 at 4:41 pm #297128adv

we are lucky enough to have extra staff, four hands make it easy work 🙂 usually take the door off first.

Hi adv
esay job,
1) unplug
2) remove top
3) remove dryer duckett ( f/setion x1, 7mm screw )
4) remove door seal from cab edge
5) long nose pliers and remove clamp thats holds ductet on to seal.
6) pull off recir hose (do not undo clip)
7) remove rest of seal
8) refit seal on to tub and fit spring
9) this is the bit the took me 2 hrs do do, till i worked it out
refit duct on to seal, slide clap around duckettwist clip to gether THEN with a small straight egde screw driver inset and twist towards you ( it will not clip to gether) then twist and turn with long nose pliers.
10)get some washy up liquid and smear around plastic nozzle and push in to seal 1ST refitting meatl holding clip
11) refit ducket and leak test.with pratcie i had this all done in no more then 20 mins
hope this helps

ParticipantHi adv,
Sounds like you are trying to do the job with the front dry duct still in place, take off the 7mm earth screw on top of the dryer and the other one in the facia and pull the front dry duct inside the drum.As soon as you have the front dry duct off its easy.
