I have never yet had to run the diagnostics on one of these but may need to very soon.

Just having a look at the tech info and read the following.

    Press P1 5 times within 15 seconds.
P2 Inlet valve 1 (compartment for Prewash)
P3 Inlet valve 2 (compartment for main
    wash)
P4 Inlet valve 3 (hot water)
Menu Inlet valve 4 (compartment for rinsing
    agent)
    Door pull magnet
Heater relay (separate or under control).

Its a bit late and I have had a long hard day, can’t seem to find anywhere that shows exactly which buttons or indicators are P1/P2/P3/Enter etc. :clown:

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

    Jim.

Reading a little more I find that the test procedure for the 1406 model appears to be far better explained and detailed in the tech info. I am assuming that the same principals apply to the 1606. 🙂

Got a call to one that has stopped with water in drum but no error message, customer has manually drained to get the door open and checked pump filter which is clear?

you need to get the customer on their knees with a torch, most 5p’s miss the filter altogether and just get jammed in the impellor or up the drain hose. doubt there will be a need for any diagnostics on this one!

This customer is a ‘very’ close relation, after I had dug myself out of the five inches of snow that fell last night I went out to have a look this morning.

Pump/filter fine, I could get it to drain once I had reset the programme.

However there was no main motor action on any setting.

Removed motor plug and checked motor circuits, refitted plug and away it went, suspect loose motor plug connections, time will tell. 🙂

    Jim.
