Just received a job for a 1606w. Reported as “fills up, then starts momentarily, stope then pumps out” no mention of a fault code, havent been to it yet,
    Anybody had this problem before?

    Guys,

Went ou to this one last week and found that there was a draining problem. Tried it several times and seemed ok. Customer has used it for a week but it is now doing the same.
As this is an intermitent fault I think its an electronic problem. Anyone got any sugestions…

Check for a 5p in the drain hose.

Also check the detergent and dose being used.

It will not be an electronic problem, I can assure you 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} it won’t be.

    Thanks Ken.

I already checked for a five pence. no such luck! Whilst there though I found that the ball in the sump hose was split and full of water therefore not floating. I removed it and it seemed to be ok. The drain hose hooks into a stand pipe so this shouldnt be a problem, but now its the same problem…

I will speak to the customer about detergent and see where that leads.

A week is plenty long enough for them to have lost a 5p in the machine.

    Evening all,

As per my previous posts on this machine. Got a call a couple of weeks ago as takes in water then stops and pumps out. Went out to it and sure enough as they say..
Checked all hoses for the infamous five pence but none to be found, checked all the obvious connections, cables no breaks or signs of anything.
Ended up by reseting the machine and running a program through no problem found. Left the customer to try a few washes and see what happens. It has now worked for nearly 2 weeks with no problem. But has now returned again.
The customer is now as confused as I am.
Anyone got any suggestions as to the next move on this?

Can you get the customer to try a reset?

I’ve a feeling, because I’ve come across it a few times now, that some people are somehow buggering about and getting into the service menu and messing it up.

Asides that there’s not a lot I can think on as you can test everything in that machine.
