ParticipantHi Guys, I’ve tried searching but no luck, have any of you changed a door lock yet as I have only adjusted them so far and I now have one that needs to be changed, any tips would be appreciated as looks like the front panel has to come off, any help appreciated 😀

Hi Mark,
I’ve tried adjusting it a couple of times, used vaseline and silicone spray but it so hard to push the door into it to get it to lock the lady can’t do it as she isn’t strong enough so changing the lock might make it easier for her, there doesn’t seem to be an issue with the door

KeymasterIt won’t help Dave, it’d just be the same.

Thanks Ken, probably thought so but I have to try it just to keep the customer quiet, you know what they are like, any how is it a nightmare job or not too bad?

KeymasterNo idea Dave as there’s never been one done yet!
TBH though I doubt it’ll keep the customer quiet, if she’s not happy with it I doubt she’ll ever be. 😕

I would take a guess its not too much different from the old model, 2 screws under the front edge (may have to tip back machine to access) maybe a screw under the dispenser? Once the front panel is off, the cover around the door is probably spring clipped in place.

Before I retired I found the same problem was solved by undoing the screw that holds the emergency door open handle down by the pump filter works.

Sorry lads but it’s a 1606, my fault typed it wrong as in rush, it’s the original model not the new one 😳
