Check the outlet connection on the pump housing to the drain hose for a 5p. 😉

Did have a good look in that area, however that wouldn’t cause it to overfill and F1 surely.

I would have removed the hose from the pump but as the aforementioned damned clips are fitted I wanted to wait until I had a new pump.

BTW, did I mention how much I hate those stupid clips?

Judging by the complete lack of any resistance to me blowing back down the pipe and poking my finger up the hole I will be very surprised if I do find anything.

Did all of the machines above have 5p’s in this location as well. 🙂

It’s the most common cause of any issue Jim. Like, all issues!

It shouldn’t cause an overfill but, stranger things.

It certainly won’t be the pump causing an overfill. Pressure sensor, maybe.

I pulled the drain hose off the pump and got it back on my own with no problem, didn’t do anything with the clip at all. Did find a 5p there though. :rolls:

Do you know if these pump impellors do turn 180° between resistance instead of 90°. ?

Its is very free when pushing it round as well. 😕

Hi Jim, Just checked my own 1406W and the impeller turns 180 degrees.
If all else fails, there is always THIS to try!

I had an F1 on an ISE10 (overfill) and found it was caused by an obstruction (coin) in the pump but the customer kept trying the machine and it eventually overfilled.

Maybe not relevent to your case Jim but does explain some F1’s when the pump is blocked.

Thanks guys, I do remember that post of yours Martin, in fact I mentioned it to this customer. I just didn’t think it was a problem on recent machines.

Still worth trying if all else fails. 🙂

    Jim.

PS. How do you go on with the hose clips do you try and refit them?

On all Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool dishwashers etc that have these I usually put jublilee clip on instead but the oetiker clip around the sump hose is a large one.

NO! the new sump hose will come with the clips, the pump ones can be replaced by jubilee’s or, if fitting a new pump it will come with clips.

    Curiouser and curiouser. 😥

Went back a couple of hours ago to fit new pump. Machine has apparently been throwing up F03 virtually every wash but not overfilled since.

No obstructions of any kind in the grey outlet pipe.

Did several fills on wash and rinse programmes, drain was positive and at full bore every time.

Customer has just rung to say that she set it to a wash that takes 125 minutes and shows that in the display.

It did the wash, drained perfectly for the first time, filled for the rinse then cut out completely, then display reverted back to 125?

She reset it to rinse and drain which it did perfectly, it is now on another wash programme and I am awaiting her call. 😥

Any ideas why it aborted then went back to start of programme, she is adamant that there was no power outage but thats all I can think of. 😕

    Re: ISE 10 F1 fault.

She has now phoned back to say it went through the full wash then threw up F03 towards end of rinse cycle. 😥

Getting frustrated now, going to try the ‘O’ ring tip that Martin suggests.

    Nope.

It seems too erratic to be a “failure” as such though.
