This punter phoned me on my mobile, right in the middle of Ken’s presentation on Friday afternoon, I didn’t answer it at the time which didn’t go down to well with her. 😀
A 1607 installed in October 2011. She says it jumped and walked out from under the worktop when in use and now when they try to push the door closed there is a scraping/grating noise.
Calling early Monday morning, just wondered if anyone else had come across anything similar?

Just got back from this call. Customer says it jumped when it had a normal load in it. Sadly I could not verify what they classed a ‘normal’ load so can’t really explain why the machine jumped.
As stated, when you pushed the drum front backwards there was a scraping noise.
It was the top, rear restraint spring. It had not broken but was possibly not correctly formed as it had twisted over to one side and was scraping on the top of the drum bracket at the back.The rear end of the spring hook was more L shaped than a proper U shaped hook, this had allowed the spring to twist round.
I removed the spring, bent the end into a proper hook and refitted so that the rear end of the spring was correctly located in the back panel.
