ise 10 leaking from door seal

customer rang today says that there is a slight leak from door seal
i asked if it looked damaged , she said no but it felt rough st bottom i suspect somthing has damaged it obviosly i may need to see it myself , how should i proceed ? i would prefer to take a seal to avoid making two trips also what is the position if it has been damaged ?
