ISE 1606 door problem.

ISE 1606W has a weird fault…..

When the door open button is pressed, the machine goes into pump out mode and does not stop. Door will not open. BUT if you switch the machine off then on again and then press the door button the program selected will start for a couple of seconds then the door will release.
Stripped the machine and metered out everything – no issues. Checked door interlock and did procedure for selecting auto door opening on and off several times – still doesn’t work. Checked pressure bottle and filter; drains quickly pump fine. Machine clean and tidy in warm kitchen – no water ingress to PCB.
Every time the door button is pressed it starts a pump cycle and won’t stop. 😕

I would try a reset but I couldn’t remember how to do it. Looked in this forum but the service manuals all throw up a 404 error or an IRC chat room……. what happened there?

Any ideas on this would be helpful – thanks!!
