I have had a call from a customer who has a problem not heating on 40 and 50 degree wash! he only noticed when the wash performance was affected. Also they have a energy moniter and when machine was on it draws more power as the heater kicks in so noticed fairly quickly that its not heating on the lower program.
Works and heats ok on 60 and above no problem.

    No fault code coming up?

Checked and fitted thermistor and PCB been working ok for a couple of weeks now it has devolped the same problem again!

    Any other ideas?

Reset the board, run the diagnostics. 😉

I have had the same issue on older Asko’s, it was a scaled up heater element preventing the ntc from reading the correct temperature. What happened was that there was no water (due to compacted limescale) in the space above the ntc (which is outside the tub) and the heater, hence the NTC was reading the temp almost direct from the heater. It would cut into heat but switch off almost immediatly. Maybe yours is not in such a bad way and still heats to an extent on the hotter washes.

Could be our area is bad for scale!

I think as ken said there may also be an issue with set up!
The customer also said that the door no longer opens at end of cycle.
Think some how the programming cocked up!

    Going back today to check.
