    Hi

I am hoping that fellow forum members can assist me in resolving an issue with an ISE10 washing machine model 1606W.

The machine washes and drains fine, however, when it gets to the spin cycle or stage, the drum rotation gradually begins to pick up speed but after about 30 seconds into the spin it stops rotating and never gets to the 800 or 1600 revolutions per minute.

The display that counts down the minutes to completion also goes off. Consequently the clothes are not spun.

    Thank you

    Nelson

When you say ‘the display goes off’ does it go completely blank or are you left with three dashes in the display?

What happens if you try the machine completely empty, will it reach full spin speed then?

The display goes completely blank. No dashes, letters or numbers

I ran a test by staring a wash cycle with no laundry in the machine.
Allowed it to collect some water.
Stopped it when it collected a bit of water, then put it on the spin cycle to see if it would spin. I tried it at 800 and separately at 1600 speed but on both occasions the same thing happened.

Very odd and not something I have ever witnessed.

It would point to either a motor or main pcb problem TBH. 🙁

    Thanks iadom,

If it is any of the 2 possible causes you suggest, are they expensive parts to replace?

    Thanks

Re: ISE 1606W spin cycle not working

Sadly very expensive, would advise inspection by an engineer with some experience of these machines rather than just changing parts.

OK thanks. I will contact a local engineer.
