Had our 1606w for approx 2 years now and all ok apart from noisy spin cycle but otherwise quiet when washing. Something that has always bemused me is although there are only two spin speeds 800 or 1600 you can hear the machine
change speeds 3 times when spinning. Has anyone else noticed this on their 1606.

    Hi
As the machine is 2yrs old have you rechecked the alignment ?. Check that all the feet are all firmly on the ground and level.
has It moved closer to the cupboard / unit next to it ?

Just normal common reasons Ive seen over the years.

    Hi
Sorry if I did not make myself clear. My post was really about the spin speeds rather than the noise but would add that the machine has always been noisy from day 1 and has never moved in use since being installed, seems planted to the spot. Have always accepted the noise and that was how the machine was.

ALL machines will increase their spin speed gradually, this allows as much water as possible to be removed from the clothes before the machine goes into max spin.
