ParticipantHi – I’m Richardhw’s mrs – and home alone! Half way through a cycle water has suddenly started pouring out of the soap dispenser drawer area. The machine is less than a year old. I have turned it off and mopped up. Could anyone let me know if a complete novice could fix this? Any suggestions gratefully received. Many Thanks. 🙁 Leigh

I have had this happen only once with an ISE 10. Turned out the customer had put one of those round tablets that have a fabric conditioner in a gel type disc on the side of the soap tablet in the drawer. It is a perfect fit for the outlet from the soap drawer, blocked the pipe and flooded all over the place.
Needless to say, the instructions on the detergent packet clearly stated that they must be put directly into the drum. :rolls:
You would get a similar problem if you had put tablets or powder in that may have got damp and solidified slightly.I would remove the soap drawer and carefully check to see that it is clear at the back.
You should contact your local service agent ASAP if you don’t find anything in the drawer.

Thank you very much for your reply. And Yes, I used one of those tablets for the first time today, without reading the box. I cant see anything in the soap dispenser hole so will do as you suggest.

I’d agree with IADOM, it’s just about the only logical explanation.
In all my years dealing with these machines, they just don’t leak, ever! They are ludicrously reliable in that way, among others.
If you have water from the soap drawer the only thing it can possibly be is something blocking the path to the drum as there is nothing else that could possibly cause that.
If it’s powder you’ve been using (apart from the advice to cut back a bit ;)) it could be that the dispenser hose is blocked. You can cure this simply by pouring boiling water into the dispenser to try to break up the congealed detergent, 9/10 that will work but if it’s really bad you may need the help of a repairer to clear it.
