There is a thread on here but i dont know how to do that quote thingy :rolls:, I will post on it and bring it up to the front 😆
As i have mentioned before, i live in a hard water area and i only use 55ml of powder and my sons (mechanic) oily work clothes are washed much, and i mean much, better than in my previous machine using 135ml of powder!

I use 25ml for normal soiling, coloureds and whites.
Bedding and work clothes get 60ml, because of skin creams on bedding, my work stuff gets covered in allsorts and 60ml fetches them up a treat!
Bear in mind though that I only was hot. Whites / Coloureds and Bedding are all washed on Colour/White 60oC and my work stuff is washed on Colour/White 95oC.
The Asko is very detergent sensitive so treading carefully for a few washes pays dividends. 😀
A read of my thread that Jim has linked to will help you. You might want to ignore the last few posts!! That was a bit of fun and not relevent to anything, and before I get accused of being rotten to quickwash, I know her so its fine!! 😀
Oliver. 😀

Hello everyone,
Many thanks to all of you for your help and information, it is appreciated. I’m also pleased I have been able to provide a little bit of humour on this forum. I take on board your comments about too much detergent, I can understand how that would affect the machine, any machine.
I am just going to put this problem down to a glitch as it has never happened before and I certainly haven’t had any problems like you have had Oliver. I also know the machine was not overloaded or oversoaping, you will have to take my word on this please. In fact, sometimes I think I have not used enough detergent as I can never see any suds when washing. However, I have not increased it and if I have a small load I reduce it anyway.
Temperature wise, I wash normally soiled clothes at 40, sheets and towels at 60 and once a month do a 95 wash using Service Engineer. Haven’t heard of or seen Affresh.
Can someone help me regarding a couple of questions I posted earlier on this thread about the filter hose and the use of conditioner? I can’t get the hose off and don’t want to yank it and somewhere I read that one of UKW engineers thought conditioner was just filling machine with gunk. Do you users use conditioner?
Kind regards

Hi P2mor,
You can purchase Affresh on this very site 😀 Just go to shop@ and its under cleaning products (obviously 😆 )
And please dont use conditioner, its purfumed grease :rolls:. My way of putting it is, its cholesterol for washing machines , funny but true!
Best wishes,

Just be brave with the hose, you may find if you use the end of a small teaspoon you can lever the end of the pipe a little, it should then pull off quite easily.
